ESTRATEGIAS FISIOTERAPÉUTICAS PARA LA PREVENCIÓN DE LESIONES DEPORTIVAS: EVIDENCIA ACTUAL SOBRE ENTRENAMIENTO NEUROMUSCULAR Y CONTROL DEL MOVIMIENTO

Resumen

Las lesiones vinculadas a la práctica deportiva representan un problema de salud pública de gran relevancia a nivel global, con un impacto directo en los atletas, los servicios sanitarios y la comunidad en general. Es por ello que el entrenamiento neuromuscular (ENM) y el control motor se han posicionado como herramientas de fisioterapia fundamentales para prevenir estas complicaciones. El objetivo de esta investigación consiste en sintetizar la evidencia científica más reciente sobre la eficacia de estas intervenciones, analizando sus mecanismos clave y los factores que condicionan su aplicación en entornos reales. Para alcanzar dicho fin, se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática de revisiones y metaanálisis bajo las directrices PRISMA 2020. La búsqueda bibliográfica se ejecutó en bases de datos de alto impacto como PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, SPORTDiscus, EMBASE y Cochrane Library, filtrando la selección a trabajos publicados entre 2021 y 2026 enfocados en valorar programas de ejercicio orientados a disminuir la incidencia de traumatismos en el deporte. Los hallazgos principales demuestran que el ENM redujo la frecuencia de afecciones en las extremidades inferiores entre un 22% y un 34% (RR: 0.66-0.78). Al examinar de forma específica las rupturas del ligamento cruzado anterior (LCA), el efecto protector alcanzó hasta un 50% (RR: 0.50; IC95%: 0.31-0.81). Por su parte, el programa FIFA 11+ disminuyó notablemente el riesgo lesional en futbolistas varones (P< 0.1), mientras que el entrenamiento de la propiocepción redujo los esguinces de tobillo entre un 38% y un 41% (RR: 0.59-0.62). Resulta prioritario resaltar que el apego al programa fue un factor decisivo: registrar una alta adherencia (≥ 75) se consolidó como la variable determinante para garantizar las mejoras previstas (RR: 0.67; IC95%: 0.51-0.87). En conclusión, los datos respaldan que el ENM constituye una estrategia sumamente efectiva para mitigar las lesiones en el deporte, especialmente en el miembro inferior y el LCA.
