ODONTOLOGÍA DIGITAL Y CIRUGÍA GUIADA: PRECISIÓN, TIEMPO QUIRÚRGICO Y SATISFACCIÓN DEL PACIENTE

La odontología digital ha cambiado completamente la planificación y ejecución de la cirugía implantológica, a medida que han ido surgiendo los distintos sistemas de cirugía guiada por computadora estática, dinámica y robótica, con la intención de mejorar la exactitud de la colocación de los implantes dentales. Pese a ello, aún existe controversia sobre si esta tecnología reduce el tiempo quirúrgico y mejora la satisfacción del paciente. Revisar la evidencia científica publicada desde el año 2016 hasta el 2026 sobre la exactitud, el tiempo operatorio y la satisfacción del paciente en cirugía implantológica guiada digitalmente versus la técnica convencional a mano alzada. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica de tipo narrativo-sistemático siguiendo las indicaciones de PRISMA 2020, donde se realizó una búsqueda en bases de datos como las de PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, WOS y Cochrane Library, tratados ensayos clínicos aleatorios, revisiones sistemáticas, metaanálisis y sobre estudios observacionales publicados en revistas indexadas. Se observaron desviaciones angulares o lineales muy significativamente menores con la guía quirúrgica estática, la dinámica y la robótica frente a la técnica a mano alzada. Sin embargo, los datos sobre el tiempo quirúrgico y satisfacción del paciente fueron muy heterogéneos, siendo los beneficios más significativos en cirujanos noveles y los protocolos sin colgajo. La cirugía guiada digitalmente presenta una precisión clínica relevante frente a la técnica convencional, por tanto, el tiempo operatorio y la satisfacción del paciente dependerán del sistema, de la experiencia del operador y de la dificultad del caso; por ello, la elección del sistema/protocolo deberá hacerse de manera individualizada según cada caso clínico.
