LA AUTORREGULACIÓN EMOCIONAL EN NIÑOS CON ALTAS CAPACIDADES: DESAFÍOS Y ESTRATEGIAS EDUCATIVAS

Resumen

La disincronía del desarrollo la separación entre un rendimiento cognitivo elevado y una madurez afectiva correspondiente situó a los niños con altas capacidades intelectuales como un grupo en riesgo socioemocional, cuyas necesidades socioemocionales fueron históricamente desatendidas frente al énfasis en su potencial académico. El objetivo fue analizar la autorregulación emocional de este alumnado mediante una revisión narrativa con búsqueda sistematizada de la literatura publicada entre 2016 y 2026 e indexada en Scopus, Web of Science, Redalyc y Scielo. El corpus final estuvo compuesto por 23 documentos, distribuidos en tres categorías de análisis (8, 7 y 8 fuentes, respectivamente) y sistematizados mediante análisis de contenido cualitativo con triangulación documental. El análisis identificó cinco obstáculos interdependientes intensidad emocional desproporcionada, baja tolerancia a la frustración, aislamiento social, aburrimiento académico crónico e interpretación errónea del perfil docente originados en la disincronía del desarrollo, y evidenció la convergencia de cuatro marcos teóricos en una premisa compartida: la autorregulación emocional es una competencia aprendible que media entre el potencial intelectual y su actualización. Se sistematizó, además, un catálogo de ocho estrategias pedagógicas en tres ejes —enriquecimiento curricular, aprendizaje socioemocional explícito y adaptación pedagógica docente, cuya eficacia dependió de su articulación conjunta y de la formación específica del profesorado. Se concluyó que la actualización del potencial intelectual dependió decisivamente de la autorregulación emocional, por lo que se recomendó una intervención holística que integrara los tres ejes, con particular urgencia en contextos latinoamericanos como el ecuatoriano.
